Back On My Feet
It’s feeling amazing to know I can start to control my thoughts, my body, my mind, and my businesses. I’m beginning to let go of trying to find answers and people I thought were my friends that hurt me. I’m truly realizing God has a different plan.
I’m now starting to see friends I haven’t seen in a while and digging deep into myself. Learning about myself and learning about my businesses has been so good because oftentimes women in business are told they need somebody to do this or that. Women in business are often put down and told, it’s a man’s job.
My greatest aspiration is not to fail, but to do everything better than it’s ever been. Getting back on my feet has made me stronger than I ever have been. See, when somebody says things like, you can’t do it, you’re nothing without them, you’ll never make it - to a woman thats been lied to, cheated on, and broken, that’s the best tool because we take those words and use it as fuel to do even better than before. Those words motivate us to break barriers.
Allowing those negative words as a driving force to be even better. If you’re anything like me and have experienced some of the challenges I have, just know, you don’t need a man to complete you. I’ve always had a saying and I find it to be so true - a man is an accessory, not a necessity.
I love myself, I love my children, I love my grandchildren and my home. I love my dogs, my friends that are there for me through thick and thin. They listen to me when I cry and when I’m laughing. There’s something so special about a friend that can you pick you up when you’re down. That’s what it’s all about. Life is filled with memories but sometimes we just have to learn and accept they are in the past and it’s time to move forward.
